SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute (PPI) has elected Adrian Orr to serve as its next chair. Orr succeeds Theresa J. Whitmarsh, executive director of the Washington State Investment Board, who held the position for three years. Orr previously served as vice chair of the PPI Board of Directors from February 2014 to February 2016, and also as a co-chair of PPI's Program Committee during that period.
"Adrian is well respected among his long-term investment peers and the PPI community. I became PPI's president in 2014 with the anticipation of working with Theresa and Adrian in their roles a chair and vice chair, respectively. Orr also serves as chair of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds and chief executive officer of the New Zealand Super Fund, which includes the general management of the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation.
