International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds to Meet in Oslo, Norway on October 2-3, 2013

The International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) will convene its fifth meeting in Oslo, Norway on October 2-3, 2013, hosted by the Ministry of Finance of Norway. The meeting will convene senior officials of Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs) from more than 24 countries across the world. Invited senior representatives from multilateral organizations, private sector, and academia will also attend.

This year’s discussions will include a focus on the implementation of Santiago Principles, investment strategy for long-term sovereign investors, corporate governance and SWFs, and the future of innovation. The IFSWF will issue a statement and the IFSWF Chairs will hold a press conference in Oslo on October 3, 2013.

The International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) was established by the International Working Group of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IWG) in Kuwait City on April 5-6, 2009 (see "Kuwait Declaration"). IFSWF is a voluntary group of Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs), which will meet, exchange views on issues of common interest, and facilitate an understanding of the Santiago Principles and SWF activities.
